Anastasia Principal Lyric Dance schoolMrs. Anastasia Girolamo – School Principal.

Professional highly educated Ballet and Theatre Craft Teacher with more than 10 years teaching experience in Belarus, Europe, and the UK.

Originally from Minsk, Belarus,  Anastasia has received her B.A. in Dance Teaching and Choreography following by second bachelor’s degree in Children Psychology. She has also completed MBA in UK and studied English method of ballet training with IDTA (International Dance Teaching Association) .

In her teaching experience she combine Russian Ballet style together with the English system of education by taking the best of two worlds. Russian teaching style is focusing on student results, while English style is very encouraging.

Anastasia’s vision is to inspire kids to dance and build their confidence by participating in stage performances. Her flare for choreography allows her pupils to fully enjoy and experience a true sense of the theatre and dance.


Mrs. Anna Soboleva – Ballet & Contemporary Teacher.       Anna teacher at lyric dance-school

Professional highly educated Ballet and Contemporary Dance Teacher with more than 10 years teaching experience in Europe, Asia and North America.

Originally from Riga, Latvia, Anna Soboleva received her B.A. in modern dance from Latvian Academy of Culture and a second bachelor’s degree in English from Latvian State University. For many years she taught modern dance at Riga State ballet school with the Latvian National Opera. Anna is also a member of Selah Repertory Dance Theatre and recently completed her Master’s degree in choreography from Latvian Music Academy where she also worked as a contemporary dance teacher for four years. Thanks to her training she was able to participate  in various international contemporary dance festivals across Europe, Asia and North America.

Anna’s passion is to raise a new generation of professional dancers, who are self-confident, expressive and well-rounded in all aspects of life.


Miss Maria Moura – Ballet, Freestyle & Contemporary Teacher. Maria Teacher at Lyric Dance school

Professional highly educated Ballet and Freestyle Dance Teacher.  Maria has experience of teaching kids of different ages and levels since year 2006.

Originally from Portugal, Maria trained at the Lamp Dance Academy, where she studied the method of the Royal Academy of Dance up to Advanced Vocational level. Maria then attended the Escola Superior de Dança obtaining a BA (Hons) in Dance. During her last year at the University, she was awarded a Sócrates/Erasmus scholarship and spent 3 months at Danshogskolan University College of Dance in Stockholm, Sweden. Since graduating, she has worked with various companies including Vortice Dance Company (National and International Tour), Dance Festivals, in Music Vídeos, TV and Bricolage Dance Movement. Maria is also a fully qualified IDTA Freestyle Associate Dance Teacher with a long experience teaching ballet and freestyle to children of all ages.

Maria’s aim is to bring the joy of dancing to every pupil as well as to help them to achieve their best potential.


Miss Ughetta Pratesi – Ballet, Tap, Modern Dance Teacher.Ughetta Teacher at Lyric Dance School

Professional highly educated Ballet, Tap, Modern Dance Teacher. Ughetta has been teaching and choreographing ballet since the year 2007 in Italy and UK.

Ughetta is originally from Italy. She completed her training in England at Laine Theatre Arts where she studied ISTD Ballet, Modern, Tap, Contemporary and Jazz, along with Musical Theatre, Drama and Singing, graduating with the National Diploma in Professional Dance, and went on to do an extra  year at Guilford School of Acting to gain a First Class BA (Hons) in Theatre. She has also completed her teaching training at Laine with FDI ISTD in Ballet.

Ughetta is preparing students for ISTD and IDTA ballet & and jazz/musical theatre exams. She has also have great experience of training students for local and west end shows.

Ughetta believes that practicing dance helps kids to develop a variety of important skills and discipline, which they can implement in many aspects of their live to become more successful adults.


Miss Emily McAvoy – Ballet, Tap Dance and Musical Theatre Teacher.Emily teacher at Lyric Dance School

Professional highly educated Ballet, Tap and Musical Theatre Teacher with the teaching experience since 2007.

Emily started her dance training aged 3 at Spotlight Theatre Dance Studio in Sheffield. Starting with Ballet and Tap and then soon adding Modern Jazz, Theatre Craft and Freestyle. She began assisting in younger classes from the age of 12 and soon realised she had a passion for helping others with their dancing. By 16 Emily already taught her own Freestyle class. Discovering a passion for Musical Theatre Emily left home to train for 3 years professionally. Whilst training she taught at her college Saturday School for children, putting kids through exams, successfully preparing them for professional auditions and choreographing for numerous school shows. She is now also an Associate of the I.D.T.A.

Emily loves performing on stage but equally loves sharing this passion with younger children and helping them to develop their skills.


Miss Amy ReaderBallet, Tap Dance and Musical Theatre Teacher.Amy teacher at Lyric Dance school

Professional highly educated Ballet, Tap and Musical Theatre Teacher with teaching experience since 2012.

Amy is young and talented teacher. She has gained a Musical Theatre diploma after three years of professional training at Performance Preparation Academy. Although still performing in theatre herself, she loves teaching young kids and inspiring them to discover different style of dance. She has proven to be very enthusiastic and dedicated teacher.

Amy loves to inspire pupils, helping them to open their full potential  and dance with confidence on stage.

 


Miss Marina Flores Herrero – Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Flamenco Teacher.Marina Teacher of Lyric Dance School

Professional highly educated Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and Flamenco Teacher with teaching experience since 2008.

Marina obtained the Certificate in Benesh Movement Notation from the Royal Academy of Dance after following a professional training in ballet and contemporary dance as well as Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies by the Royal Academy of Dance. She has also graduated in Art History.

Due to Marina’s professional training in ballet and contemporary dance in her younger age she was chosen to perform on stage excerpts from the great ballets of the classical repertoire: Giselle, Coppèlia, Bayadere, The Sleeping Beauty, Le Corsaire, Raymonda and Don Qixote.

For the past few years Marina has been fully dedicated to teaching, she loves working with kids of all ages and choreographs the routines for their performances. She also prepares students for IDTA/RAD ballet exams.

Marina’s aim is to share her passion about dance with young kids and inspire them to dance with ease and grace.
